Well, that was fun. If you've been wondering why your bookmark for my site has been taking you to a strange search page for the past few days, it's because the registrar for my web domain didn't send me a renewal notice, and I woke up on Sunday to discover that my domain had expired that morning and my web site and email were both toast. I paid the annual fee right away and it shouldn't have been a big deal, but the registrar had some kind of technical snafu going on that was preventing them from processing any renewals. It was also, I guess, preventing them from returning any phone calls or answering any emails, because they sure weren't answering mine. After 3 days of wondering why my domain still wasn't resolving and not getting any response to my anxious emails and phone calls, I did what any spoiled rotten, impatient American would do: I said "screw this!" and transfered my domain to a new registrar. Late last night, right about the time my site was coming back online thanks to the new registrar, I finally got a response from the old registrar. Technical issues, sorry for the inconvenience, blah, blah, blah. Well, you know what? Sorry to inconvenience you by yanking my business, Mr. Sincere But Uncommunicative Web Domain Poobah. See ya!

Anyway, vent over, and all is well now. Just stocked the bead page and there's lots there, so have fun browsing! I'm going in to scare up some dinner and watch Grey's Anatomy, my one TV addiction.

Wow, what a night, huh? I feel so proud to be an American. It was really something to witness such an amazing moment in our country's history.
